Tennessee Treasure, 10 Bedrooms, Mountain View, Theater Room, Sleeps 40
With a whopping 10 bedrooms, Tennessee Treasure is ideal for your next family reunion, church retreat, or group outing. Not only can the lodge sleep as many as 40 people (and up to 2 pets), but it’s also just minutes from the top attractions of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.
Of the 10 bedrooms, 4 are furnished with a king-size bed, and 3 more have queen-size beds. This makes Tennessee Treasure well suited for a group that includes multiple couples. With queen-size bunk beds, the 8th bedroom can sleep up to 4 people; this room will come in handy if there are parents in your group with little ones who don’t want to sleep on their own. Each of the remaining bedrooms has 2 sets of bunk beds. The kids will love commandeering these rooms; every night will be a slumber party! Each bedroom, by the way, has its own flat-screen TV with cable channels.
Still not enough beds? No worries: Leather couches in the great room, the sitting room, and the game room convert into queen-size beds as well.
In fact, some of the kids might beg to be allowed to sleep in the game room. This large downstairs space is packed with things to do. In addition to a handsome full-size pool table, it boasts several arcades, including SuperCars, and a large flat-screen TV. Even if bad weather forces you to cancel a day’s plans, there’s plenty here to keep everyone entertained for hours. Should you prefer some quiet time, the upstairs sitting room makes for a great escape where you can read, enjoy a one-on-one chat, or even stretch out on the couch for a nap.
The main floor is home to the spacious great room. Oversize windows and high ceilings make this an open, airy space for hanging out. The leather couches and armchairs invite you to kick back and watch TV, play Pictionary by the fireplace, or just chat and catch up. A log-style dining table is ideal for setting up board games or jigsaw puzzles, or sitting down for a snack with a couple of friends.
When it’s time for the whole gang to sit down together for a meal, you’ll want to head to the dining area, which spans the width of Tennessee Treasure. Its large wood tables and benches can seat a crowd with room to spare, and the wall of picture windows ensures that the room never feels crowded. The large kitchen is fully equipped with stainless-steel appliances, cookware, gadgets, and tableware, along with ample counter space and elbow room. It’s designed to make cooking a group event—important when you’re whipping up dinner for 40.
Tennessee Treasure’s rear decks are also commodious, so that everyone can savor the crisp mountain breeze rustling through the surrounding trees, the sight of falcons soaring through the sky during the day, and the hooting of the owls in the moonlight at night. One of the decks features a large hot tub; after a day spent hiking, biking, or exploring every inch of Dollywood, a relaxing soak will feel so restorative.
Dollywood, by the way, is only 15 minutes from Tennessee Treasure. Just as close, or even closer, are the Titanic Museum, Gatlinburg Golf Course, Rocky Top Sports World, and the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community, an 8-mile trail of more than 120 shops, studios, and galleries. Drive a few minutes more and you can be in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park or downtown Gatlinburg, home to the Guinness World Records Adventure, Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, thrill rides, and more.
Finding accommodations for several dozen people (and a pet or 2) can be tough—let alone accommodations as beautifully furnished, conveniently located, and full of amenities as Tennessee Treasure. Book your stay today; the rest of your group will definitely thank you for it!
