Springtime in the Smokies
Last week we had some snow but this week is officially the start of the Spring season and we are ready for it! Warmer temperatures and everything blooming makes Gatlinburg a wonderful place to book a getaway. If you’re thinking about visiting, what is in store for this season? Plenty!
Hands-On Gatlinburg will take place April 7th-9th allowing anyone to be an artist for a day. The Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community is a group of very talented and creative people and on this special April weekend, they will be sharing their talents. Whether you like to create yourself or just enjoy admiring the process, you can visit the Hands-On show and see how select crafts are made.
Over 40 different classes from more than 15 studios will be hosted with festivalgoers keeping their works of art as a personal Gatlinburg memento. Among the arts & crafts available will be scarf-making, pottery, woodworking, stained glass mosaics, and soap-making. Take that art class you’ve always dreamed of or sign up to make a personalized gift for someone special.
Also during April 7th and 8th will be the Smoky Mountain Winefest at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. You can take a tour of Gatlinburg’s wineries on Friday and then enjoy wine samples from all over Tennessee on Saturday. These are just some of the many exciting events lined up for the year.
Cabin Fever Vacations can provide luxury accommodations for overnight stays during the upcoming events. The Smoky Mountains are beautiful year-round and each season brings its own personality to the popular vacation area. Book your cabin in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg areas today and enjoy the breathtaking views during a well-deserved getaway!
